Easier said than done, right? Here are 5 keys to help you create and sustain a positive mindset so you attain the success you desire:

You can't control what others say or do, although you may want to, but you can handle the way you interact with others and even learn a few things about yourself along the way.
What I am referring to are the family members that seem to set you off, stress you out, or have you all fired up when you see or interact with them.
What is it you don't like about them? Form a sentence and write it down,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych].
A family may include parent(s), sibling(s),[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], partner, children, aunt(s), uncle(s), cousin(s), grandparent(s), grandchildren, step-parent, step brother(s) and sister(s), foster and adoptive families, and in-laws,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], to name a few. Whew, that's a lot of people to get along with!
Is this something I need to talk to the person about? If you choose to discuss what is bothering you, make sure that you aren't coming from a place of attack, high emotions, or expectations. State what is going on for you, not placing the blame on them.

This goes not just for family members, but any person you are having difficulty with.
Perhaps you feel they have wronged you somehow, or you don't like how they do, handle, or say things.
Then ask yourself these questions:
How much is this person stressing you out? On a scale of 1-10,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], 10 being you feel your blood pressure rising at just the thought of them or what they do. If it's between 1-3, good for you. Anything above that, you may want to start handling things a little differently.
What do you like about you and the way you are handling things? Ahhh,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]... you might see that you haven't been handling things in the best of ways which then may nudge you to be a better person and deal with things in a more positive or encouraging way.
Often when you let go of what's bothering you about the person, you are able to see them in a different light. What once used to send you around the bend now is now a passing thought since you aren't giving them power anymore. Instead you are being empowered by them.
What are you learning about you and the other person? Maybe you recognize why the person is doing what they are doing or saying because you are aware of a time when you may have been that way. Perhaps you have decided to agree to disagree and that neither of you is right or wrong, but that you have different ways of doing things. That's okay.
Whether you have a large family or small one, there always seems to be that one person, and in some cases more than one, who can set you off one way or another.

There are times in our lives when we have to distance ourselves from someone because they are harmful, or the decisions they are making are directly impacting our lives and there is no other way around it; but this is another topic for another day.
The key here is acceptance. You may not like it,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but that's how they are and that's okay for them because if it wasn't, they would be different.
Things were fairly good until they called, or you saw them, or were talking about them. Then you found yourself all riled.

In time, you might even find you enjoy watching where you go when you are around them and see how you are growing because of them. What a gift!

In a competitive market we tend to want to not limit ourselves and so the broad brush comes out. Dust off the comma key on your computer and go crazy. Hopefully something will stick. “Sure, I can do anything. Walk on water? No problem.”
Don’t you think there is some irony in the premise that growing sales, taking command of demand and moving your business “up and to the right” requires you to laser like focus. More requires less. To understand current customers problems and needs, to put a polestar convergence on your efforts.

These are the days of eliminating the number of commas in your world. What? Commas. You know those nifty little period symbols with a tail. They, the coma,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], will allow you, and anyone else, to write sentences, and those, with independent clauses (OK . . . so I only got 6 commas in this sentence.)
The results are telling. His margins are up, as are profits as a percent of sales. His focus on current franchise holders has the number of new locations each year shrinking. “Dance with them that brought ya”
Reminds me of the Bill Watterson quote, “ God put me on this earth to accomplish a certain number of things. Right now I am so far behind that I will never die”.

Client goals. Who do you want to work with? Who are your ideal clients? How will you find them? Why will they work with you? How many new clients are you actually able to take on, and how often can you bring on new clients? Do you have any clients you are currently working with that are not your ideal clients? As you can see, there are more than just financial goals that you can set in your business, and it is actually really fun to start getting everything down on paper where you can look at it, and work with it so that it looks achievable and exciting!
Training goals. What do you need to learn to help your business get ahead? What do you want to learn? Do you need certification, or just a refresher? Are you at the front of your learning curve for your area of specialization? When and where will you get your training? Can you take courses online or do you need to take them in person? Can you study on your own or are they 'live'?
Product goals. Do you sell products yet? If not, what do you want to sell - services? Trading time for money (client work)? Products? If you do, are you able to build more with what you have - ie new programs,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], new parts to an existing product? How can you build these easily while still providing great value to your clients/audience?

I recommend that you look at many different areas of your business, and set realistic goals - that still stretch you outside your comfort zone - that you can work towards. By looking at areas like clients, training and products and setting goals in those areas, you can take the burden off of yourself from a 'numbers' standpoint, which can be a stopping point for many people in the area of goal setting.

As Sheila came to understand the sources of her injury, she was ready to do the Roll step. She began to think about how to use her angry energy to attend to herself and to the pain she was experiencing. She decided to call a friend and find some fun things to do as well as to attack some hills on her bike.
Let’s look at how Sheila learned to use Stop, Drop, and Roll. Sheila identified her particular brand of catching on fire as her depressive thinking. Sheila was a single, 27-year-old elementary school teacher. In her mind her self-talk was self-abusive at times. Stop, Drop, and Roll is what you’re told you’re supposed to do when you catch fire. Of course, if you don’t notice that you’re on fire, you won’t stop, drop, and roll, so it is actually a four-step system.
Pain is the primary negative emotion. Without pain or injury we really don’t experience any problems. Secondary to pain or injury, there are three negative emotions that follow, in greater or lesser amounts. The amount of each of these will vary from person to person and for differing injuries. Sadness is a secondary emotion to injury that I define as an honoring of that injury. Fear is energy that the body generates to avoid being hurt again. Finally, anger is energy that the body generates to attend to or fix the injury.
In using Stop, Drop, and Roll the first step is for you to identify the problematic thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that make up the bent anger in your life. Once you have identified them, you need to begin to train yourself to notice them before you get overwhelmed by them. This may take a lot of practice.
Once you can notice them in a timely way, it is time to begin the Stop step. This involves taking time out from your place of injury. This step may take quite a bit of practice as well.
After having worked with this energy of anger in healing for 30 years and seen how powerfully it can work, both in the dysfunction in peoples’ lives as well as in their healing processes, I’ve developed a simple system for unbending anger from dysfunction into functional behavior. I call this system “Stop, Drop, and Roll.”
Everyone seems to understand the destructive power of anger. That’s because everyone equates anger with aggressive behavior, and aggressive behavior hurts people. Once we are injured by someone who is angry, it is an easy next step to thinking it is the anger that injures us. Anger, however,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], is only an emotion. It takes a person to change the emotion into an aggressive behavior.

Sexual harassment degrades all persons and creates a hostile work environment. It is extremely costly for employers as well as damaging to employees. The effects of sexual harassment on the complainant may include loss of self-confidence and self-esteem, physical symptoms of stress, diminished work productivity, and low morale.
We will ask other employees if they noticed changes in the accusing individual's behavior at work or in the alleged harasser's treatment of him or her. We will look for evidence of other complaints, either by the victim or other employees. We will follow up on evidence that other employees were sexually harassed by the same person. In order to make a fair and legal decision on a sexual harassment complaint we need to find out as much information as we can, not only on the incident itself,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but also on the victim's and accuser's personalities, surroundings, and relationships. To accomplish this task, we need to not only ask many questions of the victim and accuser, but also of any witnesses to the incident and the surrounding environment.
DOCUMENT the harassment. While the incident is still fresh in your mind, write down what happened, where, when, and how you responded, if possible, word for word. Include the names of witnesses, if any. Keep notes in a journal or notebook to show a continuous record. Send a dated, certified, return-receipt letter to the harasser, asking that the harassment stop, and keep a copy for yourself. Use your telephone answering machine to tape phone calls from the harasser, and save phone messages that are left for you. Keep the records in a safe place, away from work. Documentation will be essential if you must defend yourself in court or before an administrative hearing panel. Document your work. Keep copies of performance evaluations and memos that attest to the quality of your work. The harasser may question your job performance in order to justify his behavior.
REPORT the problem immediately, verbally and/or in writing directly to your supervisor, or to the supervisor of the accused, and to your union steward. Our door is always open and anyone who has been harassed or thinks harassment is occurring, can seek our confidential advice. We will speak with the accused at your request and inform them about illegal conduct and its consequences. We have a zero-tolerance policy for sexual harassment. If the incident is confirmed, the offending employee faces the following possible sanctions: verbal or written reprimand,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], negative evaluation, denial of promotion, poor recommendations, suspension, demotion, forced resignation, and termination. There are some acts perceived by the recipient to have a "sexual nature" that are offensive and annoying, but may not be sexual harassment. These offensive behaviors in the workplace pollute the working environment. Therefore, these acts have been labeled sexual pollution. Sexual pollution has the potential of becoming a sexually harassing act. It is an offensive act and should be considered improper. Examples of sexual pollution are: continuous "pet" name calling, such as "baby," "sweetie, "or " honey"; referring to an individual as a "hunk," "fox," or "broad"; referring to men in general as "dogs," "swine," or to women as "bitches," "wenches, " or "chicks"; remarks of a sexual nature, open displays of written and pictorial erotica, or nude photographs or posters (such as a nude magazine centerfold) in the workplace, and continuous gift giving with the intention of getting sexual favors in return.
Sexual harassment differs from healthy sexual attraction because it is unwelcome and unsolicited. Sexual conduct becomes unlawful only when it is unwelcome. The challenged conduct must be unwelcome in the sense that the employee did not solicit or incite it, and in the sense that the employee regarded the conduct as undesirable or offensive. NOTE: An employee who was previously involved in a mutual consenting intimate relationship with another person maintains his or her entitlement to protection from sexual harassment, but s/he should inform the other party that any further sexual advances are unwelcome.

People who are sexually harassed often wrongly assume that the cause of their problem is in their own conduct, and therefore are very hesitant to confront the instigator, or to discuss the problem with an authority or even a friend. Others try to downplay the existence of the harassment in the hopes that it will simply end. But victims are not to blame for the behavior of their harasser, nor should they pretend that the negative effects they're experiencing don't exist, because they probably won't go away by themselves.

If you have been discriminated against on the basis of sex, you are entitled to a remedy that will place you in the position you would have been in if the discrimination had never occurred. You may be entitled to hiring, promotion, reinstatement, back pay and other remuneration. You may also be entitled to damages to compensate you for future pecuniary losses, mental anguish and inconvenience. Punitive damages may be available, as well, if an employer acted with malice or reckless indifference. You may also be entitled to attorney's fees.
ARE YOU THE HARASSER?
Those accused of sexual harassment are often surprised to learn how their behavior is perceived by those who feel victimized by such behavior.
Review your attitudes and actions toward others. Examine how others respond to what you do and say. Is your behavior sex-neutral and bias-free?
Imagine yourself a victim of unwelcome sexual attention by someone having control over your career or livelihood.
Consider the impact you have on other's attitudes toward their work and self-esteem.
Do not assume that your colleagues, peers or employees enjoy sexually oriented comments about their appearance, or being touched or stared at.
Do not assume that others will tell you if they are offended or harassed by what you say or do.
Be aware of other's feelings and responses to sexual harassment. Could your behavior cause others to experience the vulnerability, powerlessness, and anger described by victims?
CONFRONT the harasser. Say No Clearly. Inform the harasser that their attentions are unwanted. Make clear you find the behavior offensive. If it persists, write a memo to the harasser asking them to stop; keep a copy.
Sexual harassment can occur in any situation, but is especially common in situations where there is a power imbalance between the perpetrator and the victim, due to gender, race, sexual orientation, status or rank differences. Sexual harassment,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], however, can also occur between peers. Both women and men can be victims of sexual harassment, although it is most common for women to be harassed by men. Sexual harassment also occurs between members of the same sex.

We will ask you if you feel comfortable asking the harasser to stop, or would prefer third-party intervention from us. You may choose to accept the self-help approach. If so, approach the harasser and say "I want (whatever the sexually harassing behavior is) to stop immediately" in a firm and assertive manner. This approach gives you an active role in the resolution process and a sense of "empowerment." Telling the harasser to stop will often deter the harasser from subsequent and more progressive acts of sexual harassment.
Every complaint will be thoroughly investigated. When a complaint of sexual harassment is received we will take the following actions:
4.Sexual favors: Persistent pressure for dates, unwanted sexual advances that condition an employment benefit upon an exchange of sexual favors.
Generally writing a letter is more powerful than a verbal message telling the harasser to stop. Writing a letter is an important step toward ending the sexual harassment. Other advantages of writing a letter are as follows:
It keeps the incident/s confidential.
It avoids public or one-on-one confrontation.
It gives the alleged harasser a chance to know how his or her behavior is affecting you.
It gives the harasser a chance to change his or her behavior or defend it before informal or formal complaints are filed.
It may minimize or prevent retaliation against you.
It may be used in support of a formal complaint or lawsuit to demonstrate that you initiated action to end the harassment.

Here are some questions we may ask the accused:
Specific to the incident, are you attracted to (name the employee)? Do you ever think of (name the employee) in a sexual way? Have you ever touched (name the employee)? Have you tried to kiss (name the employee)? (Describe the alleged incident.) Please give me your version of the incident. Did you offer (name the employee) help with his/her career in exchange for his/her affection?
The next step is to consider writing a letter in which you request an end to the harassing behavior. Writing a letter to the harasser has been a controversial issue because it may trigger questions of legality,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], confidentiality, admissible evidence, and due process. A single act of sexual pollution by itself may not constitute sexual harassment. However, continuous acts with the appearance of a sexual nature probably would be. The "reasonable person” standard will be used to determine if it is or not.
1.Verbal harassment: Sexually suggestive comments, e.g., about a person's clothing, body, and/or sexual activities; sexually provocative compliments about a person's clothes or the way their clothes fit; comments of a sexual nature about weight, body shape, size, or figure; comments or questions about the sensuality of a person, or his/her spouse or significant other; repeated unsolicited propositions for dates and/or sexual intercourse; pseudo-medical advice such as "you might be feeling bad because you didn't get enough" or "A little Tender Loving Care (TLC) will cure your ailments"; continuous idle chatter of a sexual nature and graphic sexual descriptions; telephone calls of a sexual nature; derogatory comments or slurs; verbal abuse or threats; sexual jokes; suggestive or insulting sounds such as whistling, wolf-calls, or kissing sounds; homophobic insults.
For many people, sexual harassment is an uncomfortable, disturbing and even frightening experience. It can be extremely disruptive to one's lifestyle to face a continuous barrage of unwanted comments, to rearrange one's schedule to avoid certain people, and to simply live in a constant state of wariness. As a result, harassment can have devastating effects on one's performance at work, one's comfort and self-esteem and physical health. Often, people are afraid of addressing the harassment they experience because they fear that the perpetrator will exercise their power in a disadvantageous way. For example, one might fear losing a promotion, getting a poor evaluation, or being fired if one protests or even acknowledges the harassment.

The complainant's physical appearance or clothing enticed the harasser.
The complainant probably falsified the incident report of sexual harassment.
The complainants and the accused sexual harassers can be easily identified or stereotyped.
All men are harassers.
Women are the only victims or sexual harassment and women do not sexually harass. (Approximately 10% of reported cases are filed against women and 90% against men).
Sexual harassment is only teasing and an innocent flirtation sport.

If the complainant had only said "No," the harassment would have stopped.
